Charred Summer Vegetable Salad With Burrata & Basil Oil
Summer squash, charred corn, ripe tomatoes, a long sweet summer goodbye.
At the end of every season, I struggle not to abandon it. Come August, I feel spent from the heat. I crave crisp, cool mornings. I’m pining after the knits tucked away in my closet. But will alone cannot bring about a turn of the seasons, so instead I’m trying to stay the course — to wring out the last drops of summer, which I know I will dearly miss come February.
I am planning to celebrate the end of summer with lazy playlists, long swims, and a salad that combines the quintessential flavors of summer and the romance of outdoor cooking.
