Snap Pea Smash
One refreshing drink, please — and make it snap-pea!

My wife, who you may have heard of, recently gifted me julep cups. Something about them looks so refreshing and appetizing that I’ve been itching to make a drink for them since the weather began to warm up. Now, on the precipice of spring, it’s time to christen my new metal cups.
You will not actually be smashing the peas — bruising them won’t give you the flavor and bright green hue we’re looking for in the finished drink. You will, however, be making a syrup with blanched snap peas that’s fantastically sweet, vegetal and spring-y.
Makes: 12 oz syrup, 1 cocktail
